It’s the most wonderful time of year: CES week! Among the many shifts and shuffles that the events of 2020 have brought us is the adoption of a digital event format; one that will enable more people to join CES than ever before — from all over the globe — for networking, content and business meetings. We’re excited to see how CES adopts this new layout, and are thrilled to be working with a number of our partners to meet with as many of you as possible. Here’s where to find us next week, 11–14 January, at CES 2021.

Beyond Physics: Tackling the Limitations of Camera Perception

One thing has become clear to us in our work with customers across industries, from automotive to manufacturing: automated systems need to better understand people. Industry accepted physics models don’t go far enough — machine learning and psychology can help. In our sessions with Dr. Dominic Noy, Senior Behavioural Data Scientist, we will discuss:

  • The limitations of the industry’s preferred physics-based approach to human intent prediction. How can bayesian statistics and behavioural psychology enhance predictive elements of the perception stack for the most advanced models on the market?
  • How autonomous vehicles, robotics and machinery can be built to understand the psychology of people to mitigate the limitations of the physics model.
  • The importance of interpretable models, and how this makes all the difference in truly creating intuitive robotics and machinery for a variety of industries.

To accommodate everyone’s busy schedules, we will be running these webinars twice daily at 09:00 GMT and 16:00 GMT from the 11–13 January. Don’t miss out — it’s not too late to register! Sign up here.

Join Maya Pindeus to discuss Connected Vehicles as Part of Smart Infrastructure during C2C@CES

5G is deploying rapidly, but ubiquitous connectivity does not come without challenges. Experts address how we can best “connect” transportation in such a world of varied connectivity. What communication is needed from automobiles to the internet, between vehicles, smart cities or other modes of transportation? What happens to the vehicle and infrastructure in a sparsely connected work? What are the risks associated with a transit and cityscape reliant on technology?

Join Maya for this dynamic panel discussion with experts from Wind River, NXP, Cloudera, Panasonic Automotive and IHS Markit at 10:00 AM EST, Thursday 14 January 2020. Register here.

Visit us at our partners’ booths!

In addition to our own activities, we’ll be present at our partners’ booths with Ambarella, DRIVE Sweden and AISIN. Search any of their names in the exhibitor bar in the CES digital platform to hear about our work, ongoing partnerships and conversation on what’s to come in 2021.

Keen to meet up? Get in touch!

We’d love to touch base next week. If you’re keen to set up a meeting, hear more about our work or tell us about yours, get in touch with our Business Development Manager Nick Paine at nick@humanisingautonomy.com. We look forward to meeting with you!
